Résumé
In complex analysis at the undergraduate and early graduate levels, the study of isolated singularities of functions of one complex variable is a central topic. However, as early as 1897, Hurwitz demonstrated that in dimensions , any isolated singularity of a holomorphic function is, in fact, removable. This result, which is counterintuitive compared to single-variable complex analysis, highlights the richness and subtlety of several complex variables theory.
The aim of this presentation is to introduce some major results in holomorphic extension, particularly a generalization of Riemann’s theorem to several variables. We will conclude by exploring a more modern research framework: the extension of holomorphic vector bundles.
